Wondering what to do with the kids this summer? Scholastic Languages Camps offer summer camps in Irish for 7 to 17 year olds.
Following 10 years of successful Scholastic Languages camps, the Sligo based initiative is once again running its language camps this June and July in Sligo and Carrick on Shannon.
In 2016, primary school students get to personalise their course to their preference.
Each primary school course includes a morning of Irish classes, while afternoons are spent on their course preference. Course options include ‘Come Cook’, a hands-on cookery camp, ‘Scratch IT’ where students will get to roll up their sleeves with computer programming and finally a ‘Multi-Sports Camp’ including a huge variety of fun activity-based sports. Each course will be limited to 20 students and therefore offers a very personal experience.
Secondary school participants can get ahead of the game with Junior Cert and Leaving Cert exam-focused classes in the morning. This is followed by oral exam preparatory classes to help equip for the crucial oral exams.
Our aim is to provide excellent Irish-language tutoring, with oral, aural and written being catered for, but in a fun environment and where the kids can go home in the evening.
Scholastic Languages is the gaelcholáiste where your children come home in the evening, tired but excited about the following day’s great mix of a cúpla focail and high-energy activities!
Students rave about the fun choice of activities on offer at Scholastic Languages camps and feedback from parents is that the courses help build the confidence and command of gaeilge.
